Loyola’s Cinderella Story Continues With Win Over Nevada

The Blackhawks lose again, Bo Horvat scored his twentieth goal of the season as well as added an assist for the Canucks beating Chicago 5-2. Alexander Elder scored twice, Jacob Markstrom had 39 saves in net for Vancouver. Matthew Highmore and Nick Schmaltz scored the goals for Chicago. It was a tough night for J F Berube, he was in net for Chicago, he had fourteen saves in eighteen shots. The Blackhawks visit the Islanders tomorrow.


The Bulls say that Antonio Blakeney will miss the remainder of the season. He’s suffering from a broken bone in his left wrist, this happened during the loss to the Knicks on Monday.


The Bears have resigned linebacker John Timu to a one year deal. He has nine starts and fifty three tackles in three seasons with the team.


Loyola Chicago continued their cinderella run through the NCAA tournament when they beat tenth seed Nevada 69-68. Chicago has an opportunity to go to the Final Four, they face K State tomorrow in Atlanta.

Bears Release Players Looking At Roster Improvement

The Chicago Bears have officially agreed to deals with linebacker Sam Acho and cornerback Prince Amukamara. Quarterback Mike Glennon, receiver Markus Wheaton, and defensive back Marcus Cooper all released on Wednesday. Meanwhile quarterback Chase Daniel let everyone know that he has joined the roster.


Kyle Schwarber has a new contract with the Chicago Cubs. It’s a 604,000 dollar one year deal.


The Blackhawks are back at it tomorrow. They’re playing a back to back homeset before embarking on a road trip. They are visiting the Winnipeg Jets tonight then on Saturday they face the Sabres.


Blackhawks Begin Three Game Road Trip Tonight

The Chicago Bears plan to part ways with quarterback Mike Glennon. General Manager Ryan Pace said that they will release him rather than bring him back for a second season after he lost his starting position to Mike Trubisky. Running back Matt Forte announced his retirement after playing ten NFL seasons which he mostly played with the Bears.


The Bulls are getting back to action tomorrow against the Mavericks after coming off of Tuesday’s 118-103 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Chicago has won just two times in the past 8 games and have dropped five in a row.


The Blackhawks open up a three game road trip on the west coast tonight when they visit the San Jose Sharks. Jean-Francois Berube will be in the net for Chicago tonight. The Blackhawks will also visit the Kings and Ducks before returning home on Tuesday.

Bulls Make Trade With Pelicans

The Chicago Bulls have traded Nikola Mirotic to the Pelicans in return for Omer Asik. The deal comes a week after DeMarcus Cousins of New Orleans, injured his achilles. Mirotic averaged 17 points a game and also had locker room troubles at the beginning of the season with Bobby Portis.


The Chicago Bears guard Kyle Long indicated on twitter that he has completed his final off season surgery. He posted that he is on the mend and his hopeful for a return.


The Vancouver Canucks beat the Blackhawks last night 4-2. Chicago is visiting the Calgary Flames tomorrow evening.

Eagles VS Patriots In Super Bowl LII


The Super Bowl matchup is now set as the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New England Patriots in Minnesota on February 4. The Pats came back to win the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after being down at the half. After an impressive fourth quarter performance Tom Brady and Danny Amendola helped New England win 24-20. Philadelphia beat Minnesota yesterday 38-7. Nick Foles had 352 yards in the air and three touchdowns as the Eagles take down the Vikings.

The Bulls visit the New Orleans Pelicans tonight after their road win against Atlanta.

The Blackhawks will host the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at the United Center.

Blackhawks Are Ready For Islanders After Their Break

Chicago Bulls guard Kris Dunn will be out indefinitely he has been placed on the NBA’s concussion protocol due to a fall that occurred against Golden State. Dunn fell awkwardly after a slam dunk. He dislocated his two front teeth, the team says the teeth have been splinted with braces. Tomorrow the Bulls visit the Hawks. Chicago has climbed to 17-28, twelfth in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Atlanta is tied with Orlando for the fewest wins in the league.


The Blackhawks back at it tomorrow night after their five game NHL mandated break. They’ll host the New York Islanders. New York fell 5-2 at home to the Boston Bruins.


NFL Conference title games this Sunday with Jaguars facing the Patriots in the early game. In the later game will be the Vikings taking on the Eagles.

Blackhawks Host Golden Knights After Victory

The Dodgers, White Sox, and Royals pulled off a three team deal involving major league relievers and minor league prospects. Las Angeles gets lefty Scott Alexander and minor league infielder Jake Peter. Chicago gets veteran relievers Luis Avilan and Joakim Soria along with some cash. Kansas City gets pitcher Trevor Oaks and infielder Erick Mejia in the deal.


Zach LaVine is heading to Dallas and Indiana this weekend. He will be evaluated by coaches, doctors, and trainers when the Bulls come back from their road trip. Chicago has now lost three in a row they’re just 4-15 away from the United Center this season.


NFL wild card action tomorrow with the Titans visit the Chiefs while the Falcons are in Las Angeles facing the Rams. On Sunday the Bills visit Jacksonville and the Saints are at home against the Panthers.


The Blackhawks host the Golden Knights tonight. Vegas is coming off of a 2-1 loss against St. Louis and Blackhawks beat the New York Rangers 5-2 this past Wednesday.

Blackhawks Look To Take Down Oilers

NCAA college football bowl games get underway tonight #5 Ohio State collides with USC in the Cotton Bowl Classic. In the Music City Bowl it’s #21 Northwestern taking on Kentucky. NC State and Arizona State face off in the Sun Bowl. It will be Wake Forest and Texas A&M in The Belk Bow. In the Arizona Bowl New Mexico State takes on Utah State.

NFL this weekend Atlanta can clinch the final NFC wildcard spot with a win at home over the Panthers, they’ll also clinch if Seattle looses to the Cardinals. In the AFC the Chargers and Bills are still clinging to life chasing Tennessee. The Titans end the conversation with a win at home against Oakland.

College hoops tonight has #2 Michigan State against Cleveland State. #7 West Virginia is going up against Oklahoma State. #11 Kansas is challenging the Longhorns in Texas. #16 Kentucky is protecting home court against Louisville. #18 Baylor heads to Lubbock taking on Texas Tech.

Patrick Kane Scores Winning Overtime Goal

Reliever Brandon Morrow agreed to a two year deal with the Cubs. He was one of the top set up men in the National League last season. Going 6-0 with a 2.06 ERA and two saves in 45 appearances for the pennant winning Dodgers. Morrow could become a closer for the Cubs if Wade Davis leaves on a free agent deal.

Patrick Kane had the overtime winning goal for Chicago when they beat the Panthers for their third consecutive win. Corey Crawford had 35 saves in goal.

Former Bears wide receiver Devin Hester announced his retirement from the NFL after eleven seasons. He’ll probably be heading to the Hall of Fame. He was a three time All-Pro and a three time Pro-bowler.

Matt Forte Says Goodbye To Chicago On Instagram

The Matt Forte era is officially over in Chicago.

The news broke this morning that the Bears would not be offering Forte a new contract for the 2016 season and shortly after, Forte posted a heartfelt goodbye on his Instagram.

Forte was the Bears’ 2nd round draft pick in 2008 and has played for the Bears his entire career.
