Two Aurora Men Pull Warrenville Man From Burning Vehicle

Police in Aurora say that two men are heroes for rescuing a Warrenville man when they pulled him away from a fiery crash. Authorities say that 58 year old Jose Martinez and 29 year old Deven Johnson from Aurora pulled the injured 34 year old man from a burning vehicle

Illinois’ Executive Manson is getting s new name along with its face lift. Governor Bruce Rauner has singed an executive order changing the name to the Governor’s Mansion.

 

Officials of Major League Baseball and the NBA have told Illinois lawmakers about their concerns and possible support for legal internet sports gambling. The officials are wanting a guarantee that the gambling won’t effect the integrity of the game.   

Injured Bulls Visit Houston Tonight Limping Toward Season’s End

The Bulls are coming off a pounding by the pistons with a score 117-95 this past Saturday. Tonight Chicago will visit the Rockets. Houston has a league best of sixty victories this season. The Bulls are 24-49 this season and have lost five in a row. Chicago will be without a handful of regulars tonight. Zach LaVine remains sidelined from a knee injury, Kris Dunn is out with a toe injury, and Antonio Blakeney is out with a wrist injury. Rookie Forward Lauri Markkanen has been dealing with back issues and Denzel Valentine has knee issues, both are game time decisions.

 

Kevin Lebanc scored the deciding goal in the fourth round of the shoot out against the Blackhawks last night beating Chicago 4-3. Rookie forward Alex Debrincat scored his twenty sixth goal of the season ad chipped in with an assist. Conor Murphy scored his second for the last place Blackhawks they’ve lost six of the last seven games.

The Blackhawks lose again, Bo Horvat scored his twentieth goal of the season as well as added an assist for the Canucks beating Chicago 5-2. Alexander Elder scored twice, Jacob Markstrom had 39 saves in net for Vancouver. Matthew Highmore and Nick Schmaltz scored the goals for Chicago. It was a tough night for J F Berube, he was in net for Chicago, he had fourteen saves in eighteen shots. The Blackhawks visit the Islanders tomorrow.

 

The Bulls say that Antonio Blakeney will miss the remainder of the season. He’s suffering from a broken bone in his left wrist, this happened during the loss to the Knicks on Monday.

 

The Bears have resigned linebacker John Timu to a one year deal. He has nine starts and fifty three tackles in three seasons with the team.

 

Loyola Chicago continued their cinderella run through the NCAA tournament when they beat tenth seed Nevada 69-68. Chicago has an opportunity to go to the Final Four, they face K State tomorrow in Atlanta.

Blackhawks Defend Home Ice Tonight Against Canucks

Spring Training baseball yesterday; the Cubs beat the Texas Rangers 5-1. Chicago only gave up three hits during the game. Padres beat the White Sox 4-3.

 

The Blackhawks are playing host to the Vancouver Canucks tonight at the United Center.

 

The Bulls were taken down by the Nuggets yesterday with a score of 135-102. Chicago now 24 and 47 on the season. 16 points and 4 rebounds for Cristiano Felicio, 15 points and 8 boards for Bobby Portis and 14 points for Noah Vonleh. Chicago plays host to the Bucks on Friday.

Bulls Defending Home Court Against Playoff Bound Clippers Tonight

The Bulls are hosting the Clippers tonight then they’ll head to Memphis on Thursday. The Bulls are coming off a 129-122 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. The Clippers are battling for a position in the playoffs in the Western Conference and have won two games in a row.

 

The Blackhawks are off until Friday when they start a three game in four night stretch. They’re at home Friday hosting the Jets then on Sunday they’ll visit the Sabres.

 

The Cubs get back to spring training action today against the San Diego Padres.

Blackhawks Over Bruins With Power Play Action

Zach LaVine nailed four free throws in the final seventeen seconds of the game helping Chicago to beat the Atlanta Hawks 129-122 last night. LaVine and Bobby Portis each had 21 points. Chicago overcame a career high, 38 point performance by Taurean Prince. The Bulls play host to the Clippers tomorrow and they will visit Memphis on Thursday.

 

Patrick Kane scored a tie breaking power play goal with 3:16 left and he also has an assist. This sent the Blackhawks over the Bruins Sunday night 3-1. Artem Anisimov also scored a power play against Boston.

 

Jake Arrieta has signed a three year deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. The package agreed upon is worth seventy five million dollars.

Bulls Win Over Memphis With Lopez And Holiday Back On Court

Lauri Markkanen had 22 points while Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn added 21 each when the Bulls beat the Grizzlies last night 119-110. It was the fifteenth consecutive loss for Memphis. The Bulls had a 21 point lead whittled down to 1 but came away with the win. Justin Holiday added 14 points. He was five for five from the field, he nailed four three pointers. This is after the NBA prodded the Bulls to play Holiday and Robin Lopez again. NBA owners passed a rule back in September to prevent teams from sitting healthy star players to lose on purpose to increase draft potential.

 

The Blackhawks are playing host to Carolina tonight. J F Berube is going to get the start in net. Corey Crawford is out with a head injury.

 

Kyle Schwarber was two for three. He had a homer and scored three runs when the cubs hammered the Indians 11-6. The White Sox beat the Reds 14-12 and Matt Davidson hit his third homer this Spring

Jonathan Toews Drops Gloves In Rare Tussel

Jaylen Brown scored 21 points as the Celtics carried a 33 point lead into the fourth quarter when they blew out the Bulls 105-89 last night. Boston is now a game and a half away from Toronto for the Eastern Conference title. Chicago has lost fourteen games out of seventeen. Denzel Valentine had 20 points and nailed four three pointers. Zach LaVine shot one for eleven, he along with Kris Dunn and Bobby Portis combined to go just 6-29. The Bulls will host Memphis on Wednesday.

 

Ian Happ went three for four with a homer two RBIs with two runs scored as the Cubs win over the Rockies 5-4 in the Cactus League.

 

If you missed Sunday’s Blackhawks game then you missed Jonathan Toews dropping his gloves in a rare tussle with Duck’s center Ryan Kesler. It was the first time Toews was in a scuffle since October 2016. The Blackhawks are against the Avalanche tonight.

Bulls Host Dallas Playing For Draft Positions

Joe Pavelski scored twice when the San Jose Sharks achieved their season high in goals with a 7-2 win over the Blackhawks last night. Artem Anisimov and Nick Schmaltz scored Chicago’s two goals. They’ve dropped their seventh consecutive road game while allowing the most goals this season. The Blackhawks are visiting the Kings this Saturday.

 

The Bulls are hosting the Dallas Mavericks tonight. The two teams are just playing for draft lottery positions. The Bulls have lost five in a row a and Dallas is just five of six games.

 

Spring Training on Thursday had the Cubs and Rockies tying the game 2-2. Ian Haap hit his third homerun of spring training, it was a two run shot in the third inning. The Cubs take on the Angels today, left hander Jose Quintana battles righty Garrett Richards.

Blackhawks Begin Three Game Road Trip Tonight

The Chicago Bears plan to part ways with quarterback Mike Glennon. General Manager Ryan Pace said that they will release him rather than bring him back for a second season after he lost his starting position to Mike Trubisky. Running back Matt Forte announced his retirement after playing ten NFL seasons which he mostly played with the Bears.

 

The Bulls are getting back to action tomorrow against the Mavericks after coming off of Tuesday’s 118-103 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Chicago has won just two times in the past 8 games and have dropped five in a row.

 

The Blackhawks open up a three game road trip on the west coast tonight when they visit the San Jose Sharks. Jean-Francois Berube will be in the net for Chicago tonight. The Blackhawks will also visit the Kings and Ducks before returning home on Tuesday.
