Did Jack White Try To Fight Patrick Carney from The Black Keys?

White Stripes frontman and apparent Black Keys hater Jack White allegedly caused a stir with Keys’ Drummer Patrick Carney at a bar in New York City last night.

Carney took to Twitter last night explaining that White came to a bar that he and few friends were at and wanted to fight.

Carney’s follow-up tweets stated he “wasn’t sure”  what had White so angry and called the 40-year-old artist a “bully asshole” and “basically Billy Corgan’s dumb ass zero t-shirt in human form.”

White then responded via a statement to Entertainment Weekly saying, “Nobody to fight you, Patrick. Nobody touched you or ‘bullied’ you. You were asked a question you couldn’t answer so you walked away. So quit whining to the Internet and speak face to face like a human being. End of story.”

Although tensions seemed high even into this morning, the two sides have apparently worked it out. Carney tweeted earlier this morning that he “talked to jack for an hour he’s cool. All is good”.

The Dead Weather Ready Their Third Album Release With Jack White

The Dead Weather have announced a new album titled Dodge & Burn for release on Sept. 25th.

The band’s third album featuring Jack White on drums, Alison Mosshart (also of the Kills) on vocals, Jack Lawrence (also of the Greenhornes, and part of White’s Raconteurs), and Dean Fertita (also of Queens of the Stone Age) on guitar and keyboards will feature four songs that have already been released on 7″ vinyl through White’s label Third Man Records’s Vault Club. While there’s those four tracks, there’s eight we haven’t been privvy to and they will all be part of this magical third album.

There will be no tour support as of yet. White had stated in the past that after the completion of his solo tour that he’d be taking a long break from the road.
