Chicago Bear Tops The List Of Jersey Sales In Wisconsin

The Bears may have lost to the Packers at Soldier Field on Sunday but it appears they are winning in Wisconsin.

According to a report from DICKS Sporting Goods, Matt Forte leads all players in jersey sales in Wisconsin. That means Forte is outselling Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, Eddie Lacy and Jordy Nelson in their home state.

The sales could be misleading however. When asked about the feat, Forte told ESPN,

“I saw it on the Internet, yeah,” Forte said. “There must be a lot of Bears fans in Wisconsin. Either that or they’re buying it to burn it or something. I don’t know.”

Let’s hope that this isn’t the only victory the Bears will claim over the Pack this year.

Lance Briggs to Join CSN Chicago Bears Coverage

Lance Briggs is no longer on the field but that doesn’t mean you won’t be seeing him at a Bears game.

A fan favorite, Briggs is linebacker who had a lot of history with the Chicago Bears. Amid rumors about retirement, he’s been quick to announce he would take an opportunity if it came along. This week at a Cub’s broadcast he said this,

“Here’s the thing with that: I haven’t filed my papers yet but I’m ready to get behind the camera. Now if somebody called me and said ‘Hey Lance, we’d like you to come play football,’ I’m going to say I’m happily retired. If they say ‘Hey Lance, we’re going to offer you this,’ I’m going to say, ‘There’s a good chance you’ve got a new football player.'”

Bears Release CB Tim Jennings

The Bears made some hard cuts over the weekend but this one was a shocker.

Former pro-bowl cornerback Tim Jennings (2012, 2013) didn’t make the cut for the 2015 roster. The Saturday pre-season game against the Bengals was his first indicator he may be in trouble.

“Once the whole regime came in and everybody was here, I kind of knew. I played some good football. I had some ups and downs with injuries but for me, this is where I played my best football,” Jennings said to Brad Biggs, Chicago Tribune.
