Two Aurora Men Pull Warrenville Man From Burning Vehicle

Police in Aurora say that two men are heroes for rescuing a Warrenville man when they pulled him away from a fiery crash. Authorities say that 58 year old Jose Martinez and 29 year old Deven Johnson from Aurora pulled the injured 34 year old man from a burning vehicle

Illinois’ Executive Manson is getting s new name along with its face lift. Governor Bruce Rauner has singed an executive order changing the name to the Governor’s Mansion.


Officials of Major League Baseball and the NBA have told Illinois lawmakers about their concerns and possible support for legal internet sports gambling. The officials are wanting a guarantee that the gambling won’t effect the integrity of the game.   

46 Victims Gunned Down in October

In the month of October, 46 people in Chicago were gunned down. It brings the shooting death toll for 2017 to 569 with nearly two full months to go. The latest shooting was reported Tuesday morning in the Austin neighborhood. The 30-year-old victim has not been identified.

The University of Illinois has signed a research partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. U of I president Timothy Killeen signed the pact Tuesday during governor Bruce Rauner’s trip to Israel this week. Rauner says the collaboration will boost Illinois’ economy.

A gag order has been lifted in the case of five Wheaton College football players charged with battery against one of their teammates. A DuPage county judge lifted the order at the request of three of the five players.
