Bulls Host Dallas Playing For Draft Positions

Joe Pavelski scored twice when the San Jose Sharks achieved their season high in goals with a 7-2 win over the Blackhawks last night. Artem Anisimov and Nick Schmaltz scored Chicago’s two goals. They’ve dropped their seventh consecutive road game while allowing the most goals this season. The Blackhawks are visiting the Kings this Saturday.

 

The Bulls are hosting the Dallas Mavericks tonight. The two teams are just playing for draft lottery positions. The Bulls have lost five in a row a and Dallas is just five of six games.

 

Spring Training on Thursday had the Cubs and Rockies tying the game 2-2. Ian Haap hit his third homerun of spring training, it was a two run shot in the third inning. The Cubs take on the Angels today, left hander Jose Quintana battles righty Garrett Richards.

Blackhawks Begin Three Game Road Trip Tonight

The Chicago Bears plan to part ways with quarterback Mike Glennon. General Manager Ryan Pace said that they will release him rather than bring him back for a second season after he lost his starting position to Mike Trubisky. Running back Matt Forte announced his retirement after playing ten NFL seasons which he mostly played with the Bears.

 

The Bulls are getting back to action tomorrow against the Mavericks after coming off of Tuesday’s 118-103 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Chicago has won just two times in the past 8 games and have dropped five in a row.

 

The Blackhawks open up a three game road trip on the west coast tonight when they visit the San Jose Sharks. Jean-Francois Berube will be in the net for Chicago tonight. The Blackhawks will also visit the Kings and Ducks before returning home on Tuesday.

White Sox Prospect Out For Season With Injury

The Charlotte Hornets continued their winning streak with games in a row now. Dwight Howard and Kemba Walker led the team to a 113-108 victory over the Bulls. Walker with 31 points and Howard added 24 points. A double double for Bobby Portis who had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago. Zach LaVine added 21 points with 4 rebounds.

 

White Sox prospect Jake Burger has torn his left achilles tendon and will likely be out for the season. The eleventh overall pick fell to the ground running a grounder while facing Oakland. He was likely to geared up to be the White Sox third baseman. He’ll travel to Chicago for surgery soon.

 

The Blackhawks are preparing for their road trip. They start with facing the Sharks in San Jose this Thursday. After visiting the Kings and Ducks, Chicago is back home on Tuesday facing the Avalanche.

Blackhawks Make Deals Looking Toward Future

 

The Chicago Blackhawks are now looking toward the future. The Nashville Predators gave up a first round pick as part of a deal to land forward Ryan Hartman from Chicago. The team also traded Tommy Wingels to the Boston Bruins for a 2019 additional fifth round pick. The Blackhawks also sent Michal Kempny to the Capitals in exchange for a third round pick. The Blackhawks now have eight picks in this upcoming draft. Chicago is going on a road trip starting this Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. They’ll face the Kings and the Ducks afterwards.

 

Allen Crabbe ahd 21 points helping the Brooklyn Nets snap an eight game losing skid against the Chicago Bulls last night the score was 104-87. The Bulls have lost for games in a row and are 7-18 away from the United Center. Chicago is visiting the Hornets tonight.

Bulls Cautious With LaVine For The Rest Of The Season

NBA tonight the Bulls will visit the Brooklyn Nets. Chicago has lost three in a row and is just 7-17 away from the United Center this season. The Nets meanwhile have lost eight in a row. Tomorrow night the Bulls face the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets have won four in a row and are currently four games out a playoff birth in the Eastern Conference. Zach LaVine won’t play end to end on a back to back games for the rest of the season. Chicago wants remain cautious about his knee.

 

The Blackhawks resting up a bit after their 3-2 loss against Columbus. They’ll visit San Jose on Thursday. They can get back to five hundred with wins on the three game road trip. Chicago will visit the Kings and the Ducks before returning home on Tuesday.

 

Spring training update: the Cubs beat the Giants 12-10. They’ll take on the Mariners today and the White Sox tomorrow. Sox take on the A’s this afternoon.

Simmons Digs Philly Out In Last Seconds Against The Bulls

Ben Simmons scored 32 points and making a pair of free throws with 5.6 seconds left in the game, lifted the 76ers out of a five point deficit. Philadelphia beat the Bulls last night 116-115. Joel Embiid ended the game with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Simmons added eleven assists and seven rebounds. The Bulls dropped two games in a row now.

 

The Blackhawks are playing host to San Jose tonight. Chicago has won two out of the last eleven games.

 

Carsen Edwards had a career high of 40 points. Number 9 Purdue beat Illinois 93-86 Thursday night. SIU closes out the regular season tomorrow night at Evansville.

 

The Cubs take on the Brewers and the White Sox are facing the Dodgers today in the first spring training games.

Looking Toward Future Bulls Play Host To 76ers

The Blackhawks win 3-2 over Ottawa last night. Nick Schmaltz had the deciding goal in the seventh round of the shoot out. It was Chicago’s second win in the past eleven games. It was also a milestone game for Coach Quenneville who was behind the bench for his sixteen hundredth game. The Blackhawks and the Senators are both way out playoff contention heading into the NHL’s trade deadline this coming Monday. Chicago will host San Jose on Friday.

 

The Cubs are gearing up for this coming Friday’s game against the Brewers in the Cactus League. Left hander Michael Roth will be starting the pitching lineup.

 

The Bulls get back to action tonight after the All-Star break. Chicago is sitting at twelfth in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia is visiting the Bulls tonight.

Blackhawks Playoffs Hopes Are Fading

The Blackhawks are playing host to the Senators tonight. Chicago has won one game out of their last ten. They are thirteen points away from the wildcard slot in the western division. Chicago is ten points away from the Colorado Avalanche.

 

The Chicago Bulls are going with youth for the rest of the season. Jerian Grant won’t be part of the Bulls rotation moving forward. Bulls executive vice president John Paxson was clear stating that the Bulls are committed to playing their younger players for the rest of the season. Cameron Payne will be replacing Grant to be back up to Kris Dunn at point guard.

 

The Czech Republic eliminated the US from men’s hockey last night with a 3-2 win in the quarter finals. Lindsey Vonn is taking the bronze home in women’s downhill skiing.

 

Spring Training is officially underway. The Cubs are playing against the Brewers this Friday while the White Sox are taking on the Dodgers the same day.

Blackhawks Are Served Ninth Straight Loss By Kings

Torrey Mitchell and Andy Andreoff scored during LA’s dominate first period helping the Kings beat the Blackhawks 3-1 last night. Chicago suffered it’s ninth loss in ten games. Anton Forsberg made 29 stops in this loss dropping the Blackhawks to 25-27-8 overall. Patrick Sharp scored Chicago’s only goal.

 

Anthony Rizzo is back with the Cubs after spending time at home in Florida. He was there supporting victims, at his former high school from the Valentines Day deadly shooting. He spoke at a vigil for victims as well. He was a former baseball star there but also played football. Rizzo donated one hundred and fifty thousand dollars to his alma mater in November.

Ducks Defeated Blackhawks Handing Chicago 8th Straight Loss

Adam Henrique snapped the tie with a goal late in the third period as the Anaheim Ducks handed the Blackhawks their eighth consecutive loss, it was a 3-2 final score last night. Brandon Saad and Duncan Keith scored the two goals for Chicago and 29 saves in net for Anton Forsberg.

 

NBA All-Star festivities getting underway in Los Angeles tonight. Lauri Markkanen is representing the Bulls in the rising stars game tonight, he will also take part in tomorrow’s skill challenge.

 

Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has left Spring training to travel to Florida. He will be visiting Douglas High School his former high school where the tragic shooting happened Wednesday. He was a baseball star but he also played football there. His former football coach Aaron Feis was shot several times as he shielded students from gun fire.
