David Bowie, Aerosmith, The Flaming Lips and…Spongebob?

Adults sometimes find themselves dragged to Disney on Ice or cartoon movies with kids that they’d rather not be at. But that won’t be the case with the Spongebob Musical.

The list of famous musicians writing songs for the musical is impressive. Boasting David Bowie, Panic! At The Disco, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, The Flaming Lips, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, The Dirty Projectors, Plain White T’s, T.I. and more.

The play is set to debut in Chicago and stay for a year before moving on to New York City. Now that’s a family outing that’s fun for adults and kids alike!
