Here’s a friendly reminder about the danger of taking Selfies.
An article on Mashable recently went through the numbers and discovered that 2015 has seen more deaths caused by taking selfies than shark attacks.
In 2015, 12 people have tragically lost their lives while trying to snap a selfie compared to only 8 by shark attack.
Those numbers represent the global population which puts the probability of it happening to you at around .0000000017% but that’s still enough to make us put our phones down.
The bottom line is, if you’re near something dangerous or something that you could potentially fall off of, pay attention and take your eyes off your phone.
Your life is worth more than the 13 likes you might get on Instagram.
